Preparing to fuel 2020

2019 was a bit of a disappointment on the racing scene. Injury in January lead to extended rest. Extended rest led to a lack of desire. A lack of desire led to no racing. You get the picture.

Finally something clicked and thanks to some awesome doctors and helpful books I’m getting things back on track. I’m running more regularly, albeit slowly. I’ve started back with the couch to 5K program and just ran my first virtual 5K this year!

This led to the decision to really push myself in 2020. I registered to run the year. Which means, I will run 2020 miles in 2020 on my own. No team just holding myself accountable to this goal. Getting up off my butt and getting it done!

Thankfully, run the year has thought about this one and has added some streaker challenges into the year to help with motivation. I’m also going to attempt to run 1 race per month!

If you follow me on insta you may have seen my post thanking Gatorade Endurance. Thanks to their #fuelyourjourney campaign I got to watch people I know, total strangers, and fellow Bibrave Pros push themselves and work for their goals that last few months. This really inspired me to push in 2020 and that’s just what I’m going to do! Join me if you’d like, I love running buddies!
