Time to talk about this fun new toy from Aftershokz. I have been a fan for a few years now of the Pink Titaniums that I have. When Bibrave offered the opportunity to test out the latest version specifically for cross-training I jumped at the chance. Due to my foot injury earlier this year running hasn’t come easy. There has been lots of cross-training the last few months.

The exciting part about the Xtrainerz is that they are waterproof. Which means no more boring laps in the pool! Hooray! Instead of connecting to your phone via bluetooth you upload the files directly to the device. For me this meant going into the itunes folder on my MAC and dragging the MP3’s to the Xtrainerz folder.

The box comes with the headphones, the charging cord, a pair of earplugs, and a silicone carrying case. I really think the carrying case was a fantastic extra touch. It makes it easy to toss them in your swim bag and not have to worry about them.

Sadly, my community pool was closed for renovations but I was able to take them for a “water” test-drive at the local beach before things got too cold! Honestly, it was a little tricky getting used to having them on my head while swimming. However you get used to it pretty quickly. You just have to decide, are you an over cap or under cap wearer?

For the most part, I used these bad boys while riding my bike. It was great to get to have zwift running on the computer and the tunes playing instead. Or just out and about around the neighborhood.

Needless to say, if you are cross-training due to injury or adding up the miles training for a triathlon the Xtrainerz are a needed addition to your gadget collection. I mean, do you really need another reason to get a fun new tech toy? Just in case that wasn’t enough of a reason Aftershokz has shared a discount code!
