I was excited to try out these bars. Right before receiving them my doc informed me that I should be getting between 100 & 130 grams of protein a day! This seemed like an easy way to add more!
These bars have 12/13g of protein per bar. They are
- Paleo
- Gluten-free
- Non-GMO
- Made from whole foods
- kosher
- and soy free
I also really like that I know what all of the ingredients are. For example, the dark chocolate & sea salt contains: Dates, Egg Whites, Cashews, Almonds, Cocoa, Cane Sugar, Sea Salt, Natural Flavors.
These qualities were also what made the bars great as a road trip snack! WE took them on our journey to MD from FL! So much better than the rest stop vending machines! As you can see above they have 4 flavors, Blueberry, Peanut butter, Maple Pecan, and Dark Chocolate sea salt.
My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry. It was a simple flavor and the most enjoyable. A close second was peanut butter. The hubs liked the maple pecan.
A point to note is that the consistency takes a bit getting used to. If you have an issue with texture you might want to try a bar before you buy a box!
