I’ve been really thinking about what races I want to tackle in 2018, 2019, and so forth. I thought this was a great time to compile my Florida race bucket list! Have you done any of these races? Any thoughts or suggestions?
#5 – Donna Half Marathon
ok, this one has been on the bucket list for a while. I came close this year to doing it but the group decided that we should head to New Orleans instead! Not only does this race benefit a great cause but I hear it is an amazing course!
#4 – Best Damn Race Safety Harbor
This one is actually in my backyard and I’ve been contemplating for a bit. We’ve done the Leftover 5K the last 2 years and this year we are heading to NOLA for their half. They have a great after party and free photos! The course seems okay but the atmosphere is pretty good! I hope to try this one out next year!
#3 – The Florida Half Marathon
So, I learned about this one last year because my friend bought a house that is right near the race. It runs along the water so it is a scenic race and it seems like locals come out to support the event. Sometimes it’s nice to have a local race with a big race feel!
#2 – The Key West Half Marathon
I love me some Key West. With the key lime pie, the road chickens, and the ease of getting everywhere. I’ve done the sightseeing thing but I’d love to head to the Keys and really see everything and check everything out! I’m hopeful this race happens soon!
#1 – 305 Miami half marathon
I just learned about this race recently though Bibrave and I’m now jazzed about doing it one day. Miami is still on the bucket list of places to visit here in FL and this would be a great way to see everything! With a flat course and gorgeous scenery what is there not to love? It has a reasonable entry fee (less than $100)! The nice folks at 305 Miami and Bibrave even gave me a discount code to share! BIBRAVEMB18 gives you $5 off the half marathon!
So tell me! Which ones have you done? Any other ones you would recommend? Fill me in here!
