We have now been in Florida for 4 months almost 5. I have to say that the change of scenery has done wonders. I am more active now that I feel like I have been in the last couple of years. I feel like my workouts now have meaning and purpose.
First, I can say that finding a coach (and I recommend one as awesome as Maria) was the best thing I could have done. I feel so good after my runs. I feel accomplished and like I’m working towards something. Right now we are just working on running but I can’t wait to see what happens when that develops into more. I can honestly say if you are on the fence about getting a coach…GET ONE!
Second, it is the first time in probably 4 years that I have a sedentary job. I’ll have an active few months but for the most part I’m chained to a desk. Can’t say I’ve overly thrilled about that. The issue is that I sit, a lot! I’ve been working on moving but I couldn’t tell you how long I had been sitting there. Insert Garmin Vivofit 2. I love this little bracelet. It chirps at me if I’ve been sitting too long and I get up and go for a walk around the office. It is great.
Third, I started (and am coaching) with Beachbody and the 21 Day Fix. I’ve been actively doing what I’m supposed to do for the last 2 weeks and I’m feeling great. Actually, I didn’t think it was doing all that much until I slipped up the other day. I was stuck in meetings and didn’t follow my normal plan. Boy did I feel it that afternoon! I was tired and sluggish and bleck! After 2 weeks my body is responding positively to the changes in workouts and nutrition and it is great!
Tomorrow is my 2 week weight in and I’m excited to see how I’ve been doing! But for now, I’m going to enjoy sitting out on my patio, shakeology in hand, and enjoy the excellent (but toasty warm) weather.
How are you enjoying your Saturday??
